In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Williams opened up about the show’s astonishing plot twists. She revealed that scene on the series that had been the most shocking for her was her sex scene. In the shows’ 8th season, Arya and her male travel companion Gendry have sex.
According to Williams, the scene was the most shocking one to her because she thought her character was queer. In a 2019 interview with Entertainment Weekly, she stated that she thought the scene was a prank when she first read the script. Williams was able to control how much skin she showed during the scene.
Although the series wrapped three years ago, Williams’ acting career hasn’t slowed down. Most recently, she starred in a HBO mini-series about the British punk band Six Pistols. She made her acting debut on ‘Game of Thrones’ in 2011 as Arya Stark.
