NYC Pride Installation Helped Visitors Fax Anti-LGBTQ+ Lawmakers

In an effort to flood anti-LGBTQ+ lawmakers with faxes relating to queer love & identity. Havas New York set up an installation that allowed NYC pride attendees to fax the legislators behind the 300+ anti-LGBTQ+ bills that have been introduced this year. This was done through a series of installations featuring QR codes that allowed visitors to fax different anti-LGBTQ+ legislators directly. Legislators are by law prohibited from turning off their fax machines.  The installation consisted of a series of billboards, each one featuring a different anti-LGBTQ+ bill along with a QR code with a call-to-action. NYC pride is one of the biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world and with this installation Havas New York hoped to flood legislators and bury the bills. Each installation generat...

Petition: Save Same-Sex Marriage

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said today that the court should reconsider rulings relating to same-sex marriage and contraceptives in a similar manner to Roe v. Wade. In a concurring opinion with today’s decision, Justice Thomas expressed that “in future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell.” When referencing cases that guaranteed access to contraceptives and marriage equality, Thomas says that it’s the court’s duty to ‘correct the error’ established in those precedents.” We want to make a plea to the Supreme Court to protect marriage equality. Supreme Court Justice: Same-Sex Marriage Should Also Be Reconsidered

In a concurring opinion with today’s decision, Justice Thomas expressed that "in future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell." Today’s decision rescinds the previous ruling that protected women's access to abortion up until 24 weeks of pregnancy. Also known as the point of ...

Elon Musk’s Daughter Granted Gender & Name Change After Disowning Father

Elon Musk’s transgender daughter was granted a name and gender change on Wednesday. While symbolizing her transition, the name change is also an effort to cut ties with her father. “Gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”  Court records indicate that Musk’s daughters’ request was granted on Wednesday and her legal name now is Vivian Jenna Wilson. She is one of five children that Elon and Justine Musk had before splitting in 2008. Vivian filed the petition on April 18, not long after her 18th birthday.  It is unclear how much being trans has to do with Vivian choosing to distance herself from her billionaire father. In 2020, Elon Musk tweeted that although he supported transgender people, “...
